The term ‘activities’ encompasses ‘project activities’ together with their ‘accompanying measures’.

The landowner is a natural person or legal entity under private or public law entitled to use or provide the land required for the implementation of the project.

An operator is a natural person or legal entity under private or public law who is entrusted with the planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities and holds the beneficiary rights linked to the montization of ecosystem services. An operrator can also be the landowner of the project area. The operator is the contractual partner of eva Services GmbH. The term and definition are based on the the EU CRCF.

Following actors can be considerd as operators:

• Concessionaires
• Forest enterprises
• Other actors to whom corresponding rights and obligations have been transferred by the landowner
